TREASURE HUNT!
INTRODUCTION
Asian music encompasses numerous different musical styles originating from a large number of Asian countries. (Source: Wikipedia).
Asian continet covers a huge variety of cultures, ethnicities, languages, religions and traditions. This diversity makes oriental music to be one of the richest demonstrations of art.
We can divide the continent in 3 parts:
- Middle East (Arabic music).
- China (Chinese music)
- India (Indian music).
QUESTIONS

2. PENTATONIC SCALE.
- In Music, a pentatonic scale is a scale that only uses five notes of the musical scale. The other two notes are not used.
- An ascending pentatonic scale is a pentatonic scale that is rising in pitch.
- A descending pentatonic scale is a pentatonic scale that is decreasing in pitch.
3. WIND AND STRING INSTRUMENTS.
3.1. String instruments
- String instruments, or chordophones, make sounds when their strings vibrate. They are ussually made of wood and we divide them into three groups:
A) Bowed string instruments
B) Plucked string instruments

3.2. Wind instruments.
- Wind instruments, or aerophones, make sound when air vibrates inside a tube. We can divide them in two groups:
A)Woodwind instruments
- Make sounds when air vibrates through a mouthpiece with a reed, a double reed or without a reed.
